Race down the mountain in an Alpikart
It’s the big new attraction of summer 2026 in Le Corbier!
Take the Voie Lactée chairlift to the top before climbing into your Alpikart. Ahead of you lies 2.5 km of downhill track with 350 metres of vertical descent, all aboard an all-terrain kart.
Tight bends, acceleration and braking… it’s up to you to find the perfect pace while enjoying the ride and the stunning mountain scenery around you. No racing experience is needed: Alpikart is above all a fun activity designed to deliver excitement in the heart of the mountains.
The activity is open to anyone aged 10 and over. Children aged 10 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking part. A minimum height of 1.35 m is required.
One thing is certain: once you reach the bottom, you’ll probably want to head straight back up for another run!
Explore the mountains by bike
Prefer two wheels? In Le Corbier, mountain biking is for everyone, whatever your age or ability.
For younger riders, the adventure begins at the Mini Bike Park, located behind the Tourist Office. Suitable from 2 years old, it’s the perfect place to learn the basics on fun wooden features and gentle turns.
Older riders can take the Sybelles Express lift before tackling Saute Mouton, an ideal blue downhill trail for beginners or those looking to improve their technique. Prefer something easier? The green alternative, L’Agneau, offers a gentler finish.
If you’d rather take your time and enjoy the scenery, hop on an electric mountain bike. Several signposted routes allow you to explore the mountains at your own pace.
Our favourite? The Ridge Trail, offering breathtaking 360° views of the Aiguilles d’Arves, La Meije, the Écrins and, on clear days, even Mont Blanc.

Sled dogs… but no sled
Who said sled dogs are only for winter?
With White Forest, cani-hiking takes on a whole new dimension after sunset. Equipped with a waist belt and connected to your four-legged companion by a lead, you’ll set off together on a 4 km hike with 400 metres of ascent towards Chalet 2000. It’s a unique way to experience the mountains while building a genuine bond with your canine teammate.
And the adventure doesn’t end at the summit! Once you arrive at the chalet, it’s time to relax with a mountain-style aperitif and dinner while night slowly falls over the peaks.
Then, switch on your headlamp and make your way back beneath the stars. A completely different atmosphere from a traditional hike, perfect for families or groups of friends. The activity is suitable for children aged 4 and over.
Discover another side of the mountains
What if you stepped away from the sporting trails for a few hours and travelled back in time?
Beyond the ski slopes, alpine meadows and breathtaking panoramas lies a rich history. The Maurienne Valley is one of the oldest Alpine crossing routes, and its heritage is still visible today. Villages, churches, chapels, shrines and museums are scattered throughout the valley. Sometimes, all it takes is a short detour or a walk along a quiet path to discover a completely different side of the mountains.
In Le Corbier and the surrounding village of Villarembert, local heritage is best discovered at a leisurely pace: while strolling through the village, stepping inside a small chapel or simply observing the traces left behind by generations who lived here long before the resort was created.
A cultural escape that’s perfect for gaining a deeper understanding of the region you’re visiting.

We’d love to promise you blue skies throughout your holiday. But at 1,550 metres above sea level, the mountains sometimes have plans of their own!
