The Cross at Coin Cavour, by Comborcière

A hike over the crests of La Toussuire with a breathtaking panorama before a serpentine descent along the river.

Description

Itinerary:
1 - From the chairlift arrival station, take the track that climbs to below Tête de Bellard.
2 - From here, turn left towards Croix de Coin Cavour on the balcony path.
3 - After the ski lift, turn left along the path to the cross.
4 - From the Croix de Coin Cavour, follow the path back down to Fond de Comborcière, then turn left to reach La Toussuire via Comborcière, Hôtel Comborcière and Côte Ratel.

Good to know:
Comborcière means "bear coomb". It's been almost a century since these mammals disappeared from the Maurienne valley.
Please note that the chairlift is not open every day!
